Henry, like Messi, had both. Not only was he responsible for so many goals, including assists, he was a joy to watch.
The Frenchman had a swagger and audacity about him which, you could argue, hasn’t been matched since.
He was one of those rare players who did things just because he could and others couldn’t, for the simple joy of entertainment.
Wrong-foot passes, fancy flicks, mazy dribbles, and through-balls that would make Kevin de Bruyne jealous – that’s what sets Henry apart.

Whereas Aguero, like Ronaldo, is just goals – and that’s fine, given a striker’s job is primarily to hit the back of the net.
Aguero has to be up there among the greatest Premier League players of all time, there can be no doubt. He’s incredible at what he does.
But watching Aguero doesn’t feel the same way it did watching Henry, which had a certain magic to it.
