Emre Can’s career has been anything but plane-sailing since he left Liverpool in 2018.
The Germany international decided to leave the Reds to join Juventus, but after a disappointing first season with the Serie A giants he lost his place in the first team.
Can curled an unstoppable effort into the top corner.
Following the arrival of Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey, Can was deemed surplus to requirements by Juve boss Maurizio Sarri and he subsequently joined Borussia Dortmund in a deadline day move last month.
On Saturday, he capped his debut off with a magnificent long-distance effort after just 30 minutes of action.
The 26-year-old picked up the ball from 30 yards out, took a couple of touches and then curled an unstoppable effort into the top corner.
Have a look at the phenomenal strike below…
Unfortunately for Can, the strike was not enough to claim a victory, or even a draw, for Die Borussen.
Bayer Leverkusen produced a stunning second-half comeback to take home all three points after Leon Bailey and Lars Bender struck late to seal the victory for the hosts.
