Mikel Arteta’s wife Lorena has revealed the Arsenal boss is fine and well after he tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Gunners head coach tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, which resulted in an emergency Premier League meeting where all games were postponed.

But Lorena Arteta has insisted he is ‘fine’ and in fact, admitted the ex-Man City No.2 would have taken a paracetamol or ibuprofen and gone to work if he had the usual symptoms.
“Under the circumstances that we are right now, I felt the responsibility of sharing our situation,” Lorena said in a video posted on social media.
“I want to say thank you to everyone who sent good vibes, texts, emails and calls, really it’s been overwhelming.
“I understand as well that you want to know what’s going on.

Man United and Leeds to ‘continue training as normal’ despite coronavirus threat
“My husband is feeling fine, he is well. It’s true that he had symptoms of the virus but the symptoms would have never stopped him from going to work in a normal situation.”
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the NHS have advised anyone who has a new, continued cough or any symptoms of flu to stay at home for at least seven days.
And Lorena has said the symptoms of the virus wouldn’t have stopped her husband from attending work normally.
“He would have just taken an ibuprofen or paracetamol and he would have gone to work so really, it’s nothing major.
“Some temperatures, some headaches but that’s it. That’s his experience. My kids and I are perfectly well.
“Apparently the virus is not lethal. It could be for a certain amount of people but the majority are going to go through it with mild symptoms.
“Maybe some people have more symptoms than others but it won’t be anything really bad.’
COVID-19 is much more dangerous to the elderly and those with underlying medical conditions.
The disease has claimed the lives of 21 people in the UK, with over 1,000 confirmed cases.
