Jose Mourinho has told talkSPORT he will not be asking Daniel Levy to sign a new striker in the January transfer window.
Speaking after the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday, the Tottenham manager insisted he has enough in his current squad to get by until his star forward Harry Kane returns from injury.
Mourinho was animated on the touchline on Saturday
Harry Kane limped off in the 1-0 defeat at Southampton and has now been ruled out until April
Kane was ruled out until April with a hamstring problem earlier in the week, but when asked if hell be requesting a replacement be signed, Mourinho told talkSPORTs Sam Matterface: No.
I think Daniel Levy today is proud of the players because of what the players did.
Hes proud of one kid [Japhet Tanganga] that come from the academy and showed the world he is a new player for the Premier League level.
And Daniel Levy always tries to do the best for the club and hell do what he thinks is the best and what he thinks is possible.
Mourinho was stunned by Giovani Lo Celso’s miss
