‘Wonderful strike’ – Sean Longstaff puts Newcastle ahead against Oxford
Allan Saint-Maximin scored in extra time as Newcastle survived a stunning comeback by Oxford United to reach the FA Cup fifth round for the first time since 2006 with a 3-2 victory.
Goals from Sean Longstaff and Joelinton had put Newcastle in control in the fourth-round replay.
However, Liam Kelly’s free-kick and Nathan Holland’s injury-time strike took the game to extra time.
With penalties looming, Saint-Maximin’s thunderous strike secured victory.
Steve Bruce’s side will travel to West Brom in the week commencing 2 March.
