Bunnings sells unique Christmas decoration of Santa with an axe

When you think of Christmas decorations for your home, youre most likely to picture a jolly inflatable Santa Claus climbing up a chimney with a sack full of presents not an axe throwing Santa. But if you’re in the market for a unique addition, then Bunnings has you covered.
The popular hardware store just released a $129 inflatable Axe Throwing Santa as part of its 2020 Christmas collection – and some people are “loving it”.

“It’s really cool, the target deflates after being ‘axed’ and pops back up again. There’s a few new ones in this year,” one excited shopper wrote on Facebook.
“Hahahaha love it,” added another.
The garden addition, which stands at 1.8 metres tall, comes complete with a reindeer pinned to a rotating bullseye and for dramatic effect, it also has 18 LED lights which illuminate at night – as one Perth mum said at the one on display at Bunnings Innaloo: “I’m horrified but want one.”

If you prefer something a little more … subtle, the retailer has plenty of other inflatable Santas on offer from the typical to the less traditional.
They include Santa playing a saxophone, driving a forklift full of gifts, riding a shark and standing alone, watching the world go by.
They’re all part of the hardware store’s 2020 Christmas range which was released in August to add some early festive cheer amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

“After the year we’ve had, bushfires and a pandemic (and our metro Melbourne folk still getting through), looking forward to seeing lots of seasonal lighting,” a Bunnings employee from the Craigieburn outlet in Victoria wrote on Facebook last month.
The collection also includes a pink reindeer, LED and fibre optic trees and giant Nutcracker soldiers that tower over a metre high.
The festive range is only available in select stores and not online.
