Inter are reportedly lining up a medical for free agent Emiliano Viviano, as they fear Samir Handanovic could be out for some time.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Tuttomercatoweb and Sportitalia, a deal has already been struck with 34-year-old Viviano and a medical set up.
He is a free agent after his contract with Sporting CP was terminated by mutual consent, but spent half of last season on loan at SPAL.
It is technically a return to Inter, as Viviano had already been on their books from July 2011 to January 2012.
Daniele Padelli made some big errors during last night’s 4-2 Derby della Madonnina victory over Milan.
With a run of huge games coming up, including next week’s showdown with Lazio, Antonio Conte is said to be concerned at the lack of viable alternatives to Handanovic.
The Slovenian has a hairline fracture to the little finger in his left hand and could be out for several weeks.
