Kelly Clarkson is gaga for Kellyoke.
On Tuesday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, she kicked off her talk show with a rendition of Lady Gaga’s piano rock ballad, “You and I.” Clarkson is clearly a fan of the singer, having previously covered “Bad Romance” on her talk show. It’s become routine for the singer to cover a popular song in a segment dubbed “Kellyoke.”
Much like Gaga, Clarkson has a rock edge to her voice, and she belted the heck out of this Lady Gaga anthem off the singer’s second studio album, Born This Way. The audience clearly enjoyed Clarkson’s take on it, swaying and cheering throughout.
Clarkson’s talk show has become quite the hit, already earning a renewal for a second season back in November. Her “Kellyoke” segments, which typically kick off the show, have become a true highlight with Clarkson covering everything from One Direction to Rihanna to Cher. She even got in the holiday spirit with a spate of festive tunes throughout December.
