Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi has revealed that he has ambitions of becoming a coach but first he has vowed to end his career at the Olimpico.
The Biancoceleste defender has become one of the most prolific centre-halves in Italy since his move from Sassuolo in July 2018.
Simone Inzaghi has been able to get the best out of the 32-year-old, who is tied to the club until June 2023, but the left-footed defender has revealed that he has started to think about life after his playing career.
“I want to become a coach,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’ve been thinking about it for a few years already.
“I’d end my career at Lazio, but I always like to think about one year at a time.”
Acerbi has played 24 Serie A games this term and has contributed two goals and two assists from his position in the middle of Inzaghi’s defensive trident.
The former Milan player earned his Italy debut on November 18 in 2014, against Albania, and has since played six games and scored once for the Azzurri.
