Roma forward Nicolò Zaniolo underwent a successful intervention in the left knee in Austria today.
Sky Sport Italia confirms the Italy international, who ruptured his ACL in the Azzurri’s 1-0 win against Holland in the UEFA Nations League, was operated by Professor Christian Fink in Innsbruck.
The surgery was perfectly successful, and the rehabilitation period starts from today.
Zaniolo knows it will require time and patience, after having recently recovered from a similar ACL rupture in the right knee.
The Giallorossi player, capped seven times by Italy, appeared in eight Serie A games for Roma towards the end of last season, after his recovery from the serious injury he suffered in a 2-1 defeat to Juventus on January 12.
