Talks have resumed between Napoli and Verona over midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The clubs had been negotiating a deal for the Moroccan, but personal terms were proving to be a problem.
La Gazzetta’s Nicolo Schira claims talks have now resumed, however there is still no sign of an agreement.
Schira explains Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and Amrabat’s agent spoke over the phone in order to speed up the process.
Amrabat’s agent is reportedly demanding a €40m release clause, which Giuntoli is rejecting outright.
Schira also warns the player has yet to be convinced about joining the Partenopei and that Verona President Maurizio Setti is becoming increasingly irritated about how negotiations are proceeding.
It is therefore possible the deal could collapse entirely, with Hellas possibly losing out on €15m for the 23-year-old.
