The CBI is interrogating those present at the flat at the time of the actor’s death to find out possible discrepancies in their statements.

Mumbai/ New Delhi: Even as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) CBI picked up new leads that may throw light on the circumstances surrounding the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the late actor’s family members have made a revelation that it was ‘business as usual’ when they reached the Bandra flat where the Kai Po Che actor was found hanging.
Sources within the family told Times Now that even as the actor was found hanging at about 1 pm, the flatmates of Sushant Singh Rajput were cooking food in the kitchen in a visibly casual attitude when the family reached the flat at about 11.30 pm. The CBI, which has already recreated the circumstances surrounding Rajput’s death is questioning individuals who were present at the house at the time of the incident. According to reports, three of the four individuals have already been questioned.
Lights at the flat went off early the night before Rajput’s death
Times Now also spoke to Rajput’s neighbours who pointed out that unlike normal days when the actor would be awake till 4 am, all the lights were switched off by 10.30-10.45 pm a day before his death.
The CBI has thus been grilling Siddharth Pithani, Rajput’s friend and Neeraj, who worked as a cook at his residence to find out possible inconsistencies in the narratives. The team has already spoken to Dipesh Sawant, Rajput’s house help, who was among four people present in the house at the time of the incident. The CBI team is also expected to question Rajput’s doctors to probe the ‘depression’ theory further.
As reported earlier by Times Now, the probing agency is also expected to interrogate Rhea Chakraborty, Rajput’s rumoured girlfriend, and the main accused in the case, in the coming days. The actor’s family members have accused Chakraborty and her family members of abetting Rajput’s suicide.
