There are reports Brescia President Massimo Cellino is ready to fire Eugenio Corini for the second time this season and bring in Diego Lopez.
According to Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cellino is unsatisfied with today’s 2-1 defeat to Bologna and the fact they’ve picked up just two points from the last six rounds.
It’s suggested the notoriously trigger-happy patron, formerly of Cagliari and Leeds United, is taking the night to think about his options.
Cellino already fired Corini once this season, on November 3, but recalled him quickly on December 2.
That is because Corini’s replacement was Fabio Grosso, who lost all three games in charge of Brescia, failing to score a single goal and conceding 10.
It’s believed that if Cellino does opt for a change, he’s likely to bring in former Palermo, Bologna and Cagliari coach Diego Lopez.
The Uruguayan tactician is currently a free agent after his contract with Penarol expired in December and had previously been linked with the Genoa job.
