Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino would ‘not be surprised’ to see Rodrigo De Paul stay, as Leeds United might not be the ‘chance of a lifetime’ he’s waiting for.
The Argentina international is valued at €40m and so far the biggest proposal, from Leeds, has not yet reached that figure.
“De Paul is in love with Udine and Udinese, so unless the chance of a lifetime comes along and the club receives the right offer for his true value, I would not be surprised to see him stay,” Marino told Il Gazzettino newspaper.
“I see him highly-motivated in training, a real leader as well as a fantastic player. He’s very intelligent and sets the example for everyone in the squad.
“We see the transfer value discussed in the newspapers, so it’s preferable that everyone just relaxed. We’ll see that what ought to happen will happen.”
