While Juventus have the highest salaries in Serie A, they also boast some of the lowest, with Gianluca Frabotta picking up €0.1m per season.
La Gazzetta dello Sport analysed the wage bills of all the Italian top flight clubs and found some intriguing patterns.
The Bianconeri remain by far the biggest spenders with a total €236m, even if that dropped by €58m over the summer.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the top earner in the league by a country mile on €31m per season, but his teammate Frabotta can count on just €100,000 per season.
There are several others around Serie A on the same wage, such as Cristobal Montiel at Fiorentina, Simone Pinna at Cagliari, Atalanta goalkeepers Francesco Rossi and Marco Carnesecchi, Gianluca Raspadori at Sassuolo, and the Sampdoria trio of Kristoffer Askildsen, Mikkel Damsgaard and Nicola Ravaglia.
However, these are not the lowest-earning players in Serie A.
Udinese’s 18-year-old midfielder Martin Palumbo, who started in the 2-0 defeat to Spezia on September 30, earns just €40,000 per season.
