However hes now mapped out his three-fight plan for the remainder of his Top Rank contract and did not name Usyk as one of his ideal opponents.
Fury told iFL TV: No. Usyk aint on the list, hes a no-name, no-ones interested and it doesnt make any money.
So what would I wanna fight him for? Hes a small cruiserweight, foreigner, dont speak good English, and nobodys really interested anyway, hes not setting anything alight.
I want the big fights people are interested in and that aint one of them.
Usyk plans to take over the heavyweight division
Usyk cleaned up the cruiserweight division in 2017/18, winning every single belt as the away fighter in the champions back yard.
The 33-year-old has now moved up to heavyweight and made his debut with by stopping Chazz Witherspoon last year.
Due to his aforementioned achievements, Usyk has been designated as Anthony Joshuas WBO mandatory challenger and his representatives recently met the Brit for talks.
When asked if hed be interested in facing Usyk should he beat Joshua, Fury replied: Still it wouldnt be a big fight, hes still a foreigner in a Westernised world.
The belts are back in the West and theyre gonna stay there.
Whatever it sounds like, the heavyweight champion should be from Britain or America, nowhere else.
Maybe in Ukraine he might be a big star, but Britain or Americas not interested in some Ukrainian boxer boxing in Ukraine and thats the way it is.
The heavyweight champion of the world needs to be in the West and thats how it goes.
