Kyle Walker was branded a ‘car crash’ during Man City’s draw with Liverpool as Roy Keane also hit out at Sergio Aguero for being ‘overweight’.
Walker, the England defender, fouled Sadio Mane in the penalty area after 13 minutes, with Mohamed Salah opening the scoring from from the resultant spot kick.
Walker clumsily tripped Mane in the box
Gabriel Jesus equalised for the hosts in the 31st minute and Kevin De Bruyne fired a penalty wide just before the break as the match finished 1-1.
At half-time, when asked how Mane earned himself a penalty for Liverpool, former Manchester United captain Keane told Sky Sports: Because hes up against an idiot.
Kyle Walker, people are telling me hes playing well, I dont think so.
This guy is 30 years of age, an international player, hes a car crash.
He keeps on making these type of mistakes. He was rightfully punished for it.
Keane was unimpressed by Walker’s defending
Keanes words could have been viewed as harsh with Walker being one of Citys standout performers in the early stages of the season.
He also scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United last weekend.
Defending Walker, former City star Micah Richards said: Hes been in good form. I think Roy is taking it a bit overboard there.
Hes been one of Citys best players [this season]. He gambles there, he should have just waited.

Walker was not alone in being criticised by Keane, who also admitted his frustrations about one of the Man City players who wasn’t even involved on Sunday – Argentina forward Aguero.
The striker is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury which he suffered in his third appearance of the season after returning from a knee injury suffered in June.
While some believe Aguero may have been rushed back from his original injury and only done himself more harm, Keane instead laid into the 32-year-old for being ‘really heavy’ and ‘overweight’ upon his return.
Aguero last played for Man City on October 24, in the Premier League draw with West Ham
“My issue with Aguero when he came back was he looked overweight,” added Keane. “God knows what size shorts he was wearing. He did look really heavy.
“Sometimes you can be out injured and hit the ground running
“This idea that players need two or three months to get up to speed. I was worried when he came back he looked really, really heavy.
“It’s difficult to get up to speed, but don’t be piling on the pounds.”
