If you want to show your appreciation for Dad with something more than a phone call, one of these deals might make the old man smile. But you better hurry!

  • Amazon Kindle for $65 ($25 off): The 2019 Kindle is the best affordable e-reader on the market. It has most of the bells and whistles that made the old Paperwhite so appealing, like LED front lights. It’s also Bluetooth-enabled and can stream Audible books. If your dad doesn’t have a Kindle, now is a great time to get him one. Other Kindle models are also on sale, so check out our Best Kindles guide to see which is the right option.
  • Apple Watch Series 5 for $329 ($100 off): The Series 5 landed on our Best Fitness Trackers list as the best fitness watch and our Best Smartwatches guide as the best smartwatchbut it’s only true if Dad has an iPhone.
  • Google Nest Max Hub for $200 ($30 off): When I reviewed it earlier this year (8/10, WIRED Recommends), I said the bigger smart display from Google is worth the premium over the regular Nest Hub for its three more inches of screen, although the built-in webcam is a privacy concern. You could always gift Dad a square of black electrical tape to solve that.
  • GoPro Hero7 Black for $230 ($100 off): Dad might get a kick out of making action videos of his hikes or trips, and this is a good discount on one of the best action cams. We have a review of this model if you want to learn more.
  • Fitbit Charge 4 for $129 ($21 off): We like the Charge 4 (8/10, WIRED Recommends). It’s one of the few fitness trackers in this price range to feature a built-in GPS, which can help measure distance and show the route you took on your run. You can also monitor heart rate, and it’ll even measure sleep quality at night.
  • OnePlus 7T for $499 ($100 off): The OnePlus 7T is the current runner-up in our guide to the Best Android phones. It’s been at this discounted price for a few months now but there’s a chance it could be discontinued soon considering the newer OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are available. When WIRED editor Jeffrey Van Camp reviewed it late last year (8/10, WIRED Recommends), he harped on the fast processor and luxurious display, which still matches if not exceeds the screens on phones twice its price.
  • Wyze Smart Home Starter Pack for $98 ($19 off): This is everything your dad needs to create a smarter home: a Wyze Cam, a 32-GB MicroSD card, two contact sensors, a motion sensor, a sensor bridge, two smart plugs, and three smart bulbs. Wyze products are usually excellent a great value. We really like its security camera, smart plug and its bulb. Nothing beats it for the price.
  • Amazon Echo Studio with Free Philips Hue Bulb for $170 ($60 off): The Echo Studio fires music in every direction, from the downward-facing subwoofer, the upward-facing midrange speaker, and two side-facing speakers. That makes it the best speaker in the Echo range, while also being an Alexa hub that can run all your other compatible smart devices.
  • MacBook Air (2020 Model with Core i3, 256 GB) for $899 ($100 off): The entry-level MacBook Air (8/10, WIRED Recommends) with the Core i3 processor is a fine performer if Dad’s only using it for simple tasks like checking his email. If you need more performance and more storage, the better-performing Core i5 model with 512 GB of storage is also on sale.
  • JBL Studio 580 Floor Standing Speaker for $300 ($500 off): JBL’s standing speaker has two woofer cones and is compatible with the rest of JBL’s Studio 5 speaker series. It’s great for when Dad wants to blast some tunes while powerwashing the deck.
  • Moment Starter Set with Two Lenses for $195 ($25 off): If Dad likes taking photos with his phone (and if he owns a recent iPhone, Google Pixel, OnePlus, or Samsung phone), get him this bundle from Moment, which includes two lenses of your choice, a phone case, a lens pen for cleaning, and a rear lens cap. The case is required as the lenses mount to it, so make sure Dad has a compatible smartphone. I recommend the 58-mm tele lens and the 14-mm Fisheye.
