Italian reports claim Burnley centre-forward Chris Wood has offered himself to Lazio, who are considering the idea.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, the 28-year-old New Zealand international’s entourage contacted Lazio to inform them that he was interested in a transfer to Serie A.
The Biancocelesti have just qualified for the Champions League after finishing fourth in Serie A and need reinforcements to bolster their thin squad.
Burnley paid €16m to sign Wood from Leeds United in 2017 and he scored 14 goals in 32 Premier League games this term.
This has been his most prolific Premier League campaign, after netting 10 in each of the last two seasons.
Wood would be seen as a replacement for Felipe Caicedo, who is expected to join a club in Qatar this summer.
