Lucas Paqueta assures he feels ‘no rancour’ towards Milan following his transfer to Olympique Lyonnais. ‘My football is about joy.’
The Brazilian failed to make an impact at San Siro after his €38.5m plus bonuses move from Flamengo in January 2019.
He was sold to Lyon in September for €20m plus a 15 per cent cut of any future sale.
“I feel no rancour towards Milan, nor a desire for revenge,” Paqueta told L’Equipe.
“In fact, I thank them for this period of my life, even though it was painful. That’s part of life.
“Now I want to rediscover my football, which is about joy, the kind we play in Brazil. I feel that here in Lyon there is the right energy to do that.”
The 23-year-old made 44 competitive appearances for Milan, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
