
The Justice Department asked a federal judge to dismiss part of special counsel Robert Muellers case against a Russian firm accused of engaging in a widespread effort to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, saying the company was trying to game the U.S. court process.
In an unusual filing late Monday, prosecutors said the company was taking advantage of the rights it was offered under the American legal system, but not fulfilling its obligations.
