Valencia are very unlikely to purchase Alessandro Florenzi outright from Roma for €12-15m, but the player insists he wouldn’t cut the experience short.
The full-back joined Valencia in January on a dry loan, so there is no agreed option to buy, meaning any full transfer would have to be negotiated.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Superdeporte, the asking price is €12-15m, considerably over the budget, not to mention his salary.
The 29-year-old made only five competitive appearances for Valencia and was sent off in one of those.
His stay in Spain was hit by a surprise bout of chickenpox just before the league ground to a halt because of the coronavirus pandemic.
However, this week Florenzi assured he was not going to waste this opportunity.
“I miss Rome for so many reasons, but if you ask me if I’d go back tomorrow, I’d say no, because I want to live this experience to the full,” he told Fabio Fognini in an Instagram Live chat.
“At the moment, that is what I’m open to. I am on loan and the contract expires on June 30, but we’ll see if FIFA extend it.”
