Don’t go to work if you are feeling unwell
Mr Andrews has again urged people who are feeling unwell to not go to work and stay at home.
“Aged care, health care, big distribution centres, meatworks, cool stores, big warehouses, these workplaces are driving most of this second wave and therefore what that tells you is that some people, for whatever reason some people are feeling sick, they have symptoms and they are still going to work,” he said.
“If that continues, then we will just continue to see more and more cases.
“You are an unacceptably high risk of it to co-workers and lots people.”

‘Wildly infectious’: Andrews says every Victorian needs to take care regardless of age

“It is a wildly infectious virus and whether you have underlying complex health issues or whether you are otherwise healthy, people have died from all of those cohorts and more from right around the world,” the Premier said.
“So there is no reason for anybody to think that because they are otherwise fit or because they are not in their 80s, then somehow they have essentially got a vaccine for this.”

Adelaide man arrested for breaching COVID-19 restrictions
A South Australian man has been arrested after allegedly breaching COVID-19 directions by entering the state in a vehicle with blackened-out number plates and travelling on the wrong side of the road.
About 7:15pm on Friday, police at the Oodla Wirra border checkpoint, in the state’s Mid North, spotted the blue Toyota sedan travelling at speed on the wrong side of the Barrier Highway.
Police said the driver did not stop at the checkpoint and officers later found the vehicle abandoned in bushes off a dirt road.
The alleged driver, a 30-year-old man from Elizabeth Downs, was arrested after he appeared from bushes nearby, police said.
Police said the man was a non-essential traveller who had returned to SA from New South Wales.
He was also submitted to a drug test where he provided a positive result for methamphetamine, police said.
He will appear in court on Monday.

Read the instructions, and head to the websites
Australia’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Nick Coatsworth, has told ABC News that residents wanting to wear masks can find all the information they need on federal and state government websites.
“I think at the absolute base level, we have to be clear in greater Melbourne and Mitchell Shire, when you go out for one of those four reasons, that you have a face covering,” he said.
“It is difficult to interpret, as a member of the community, different masks.
“That’s why we have a range of information on the Victorian and Health Government websites, to ensure that people are aware of what masks they can use.
“I’d simply say that there’s a range of face coverings available, and that you can always look at the manufacturer’s instructions.”

Investigations into Victorian aged care facilities has begun
Australia’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Nick Coatsworth says high level investigations are underway to find ways to stop the spread of coronavirus in aged care facilities.
536 cases are now linked to Victorian aged care facilities and around 300 health care workers across the state.
The Federal Government has established the Victorian Aged Care Response Centre to manage COVID-19 outbreaks at aged care homes.
Dr Coatsworth says high levels of community transmission in the state have contributed to the crisis.

30,000 cross the border into South Australia
Since South Australia’s tough border restrictions came into effect two-weeks ago, almost 30,000 people have crossed over.
Half of them came from Victoria, but many carry cross-border community permits.
The new police data also shows of the 15-thousand people who travelled into South Australia from Victoria, 1,800 were approved non-essential travellers such as returning citizens.
But from midnight on Tuesday, South Australia will further tighten its border controls with Victoria, banning anyone, including South Australians from entering the state.

Funding urged to keep pilots in the aviation industry
The association representing Qantas pilots wants the Federal Government to fund a training package to maintain the workforce’s skills during the COVID-19 crisis.
Many pilots remain stood down because of the pandemic.
The President of the Australian and International Pilot’s Association Mark Sedgwick says it’s made it hard for pilots to get enough flying hours to maintain their skills.
In a statement a spokesman for the Federal Transport Minister Michael McCormack said the Government was investing more than a billion dollars to help the aviation industry, as well as establishing a billion dollar JobTrainer Fund.
