We found the best deals for watching TV, getting online, getting away, and making your home smarter.

As much as we at the Gadget Lab love getting outdoors during winter, sometimes we just want to turtle up indoors and watch television or waste idle time online. Or better yet, board a plane to go somewhere new (and warm) and let our smart home take care of itself while we’re away. Whatever you want to do, weve rounded up the best deals this week on TVs, streaming devices, tablets, travel gear, and smart home products that can help make winter a bit more enjoyable.

Check out our guides to the Best TVs and Best Soundbars for more options.

  • Klipsch Synergy Black Label F-300 Floorstanding Speaker with Dual 8-inch Woofers, Pair for $400 ($700 off): Go beyond the tinny-sounding built-in TV speakers and build a proper 5.1 channel surround system. Each tower includes a dynamic 1-inch tweeter and dual 8-inch subwoofers so you get crystal clear highs and booming lows. At this price, they come highly recommended by WIRED’s own audio gear specialist and reviewer, Parker Hall.
  • Vizio 65-inch LED P Series Quantum 4K Smart TV + $250 Dell Gift Card for $900 ($500 off): Vizio’s 4K TV supports HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision HDR standards, so you won’t be left behind if you come across a program or streaming network that only supports one over the others. It has a built-in Chromecast so you can stream video to the TV from your tablet, phone, or computer, and it’ll pair with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices for voice-activated controls.
  • Nvidia Shield TV 4K for $130 ($20 off): As a platform that’s programming-agnostic, like Roku, Nvidia won’t try to isolate you from certain streaming channels the way Amazon and Apple do with their streaming devices. You can get all the major streaming networks without restriction. It upscales regular 1080p HD video into 4K UHD video and supports Dolby Vision HDR. It has Google Assistant built-in, but you can pair it with an Alexa device if you’re invested in the Amazon ecosystem.
  • Amazon Fire TV Recast 2-Tuner 500GB DVR for $145 ($85 off): Cord-cutting has outlasted the predictions of being just a trend. A lot of people are ditching cable and satellite TV, but still want the basic stations with a subscription. The Recast lets you pause and record over-the-air broadcasts when hooked up to an HD antenna. You can record two programs simultaneously, and with 500GB of storage, it’ll hold around 75 hours worth of shows before you have to start trimming for space.
