I’ve seen that before. Man had a kid with girlfriend. Thought he was the father and raised the kid normaly until it was 14. Somehow the mother told him she had an affair and, after a DNA test, he found out the kid wasn’t his. Court ruled that he have to keep paying child support, he created all the father/son bonds and he is indeed the father, doesn’t matter the biologic part there.
There are too many vicissitudes in law that people often find absurd.
