A man who flew from Melbourne to Darwin today has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
NT Health Minister Natasha Fyles said the man flew into Darwin on a Jetstar flight.
Northern Territory health authorities say an adult male found out he had tested positive while he was on the flight.
He is now in isolation at Royal Darwin Hospital.
Ms Fyles said the Jetstar flight arrived around 1:00pm today but did not give the specific details of the flight.
The Northern Territory Government said contact tracing is underway and “all close contacts have now been notified and are in mandatory supervised quarantine” at the Howard Springs quarantine facility.
Ms Fyles said the man was wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) on the plane and was asymptomatic during the flight.
More to come.
