Agent Silvano Martina has revealed that Juventus veteran Gianluigi Buffon has ‘yet to decide’ if he will play on beyond this summer.
The goalkeeper has turned 42 this year and the inevitable retirement from football could present itself already after the current season.
In December he seemed adamant to stay put and work hard for more silverware with the Old Lady, but his agent has revealed that they haven’t decided anything.
“We haven’t addressed that issue yet,” Martina told Tuttomercatoweb. “He will decide. He seems fine, but we haven’t talked about it.”
Juventus have been struggling to convince the spectators this term, but they are still in all three competitions come March and it could end up with more winners’ medals for the old veteran.
“Not all the years are the same. It’s difficult to win the League, let alone nine in a row,” he said. “Lazio aren’t playing any cups, it helps. They can play to win the League.”
