Atalanta have cancelled today’s press conference with Gian Piero Gasperini after a positive COVID-19 test within the club.
A statement was released this afternoon, confirming a ‘low viral load’ case has been diagnosed within the matchday group – which does not necessarily mean a player – and he is asymptomatic.
The club has activated the protocol for a coronavirus case and informed the local authorities.

Gasperini announced he had tested positive for COVID-19 in July, although it was only discovered using an antibody blood test, which found he’d contracted it in the past.
He theorised it was on the same day as the Champions League trip to Valencia, as he had a headache for a couple of days, but did not qualify for a swab at the time, as he did not have other obvious symptoms.
