Ronaldo Vieira has officially moved from Sampdoria to Hellas Verona, on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for a reported €7m.
The 22-year-old was born in Guinea-Bissau and moved to Portugal as a child, then England at age 11, where he came up through the Leeds United academy.
He was sold to Sampdoria for €7.1m in 2018, plus 10 per cent of his future transfer fee.
Vieira made 29 competitive appearances for the Blucerchiati last season.
It’s reported the deal is a loan with option to buy for €7m, but there could also be a clause making this an obligation if Verona qualify for the Europa League.
He is replaced in the Samp squad by Adrien Silva from Leicester City.
