Former Inter President Massimo Moratti said he feels ‘sorry for a good boy’ like Mario Balotelli getting ‘the usual treatment’ after Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini slammed the Brescia forward.
The Old Lady captain attacked Balotelli and former Old Lady midfielder Felipe Melo in his book, ‘Io, Giorgio’, and said he was ‘let down’ by the two players, claiming the former Italy international ‘is a negative person’.
Balotelli immediately responded to the comments and hit back saying ‘at least I’m honest’. Now, the former Nerazzurri patron Moratti has sided with his old player.
“I was sad, because I liked Chiellini and I know he’s an intelligent and good lad,” Moratti told Domenica Sportiva on Rai 2. “The idea of him venting out, I didn’t expect.
“I’m sorry for a good boy like Balotelli, who is always treated this way.”
