Gianpaolo Calvarese has been given Inter-Napoli and Paolo Valeri will officiate Milan-Juventus in the first leg of the semi-finals in the Coppa Italia this week.
AIA have announced the referees for this week’s matches in the Italian cup and it kicks off when Inter host Napoli at the San Siro tomorrow.
Calvarese will be at the helm when the Partenopei travel to Milan and the Nerazzurri have lost their only Coppa Italia match with the 43-year-old in charge.
Napoli have never had Calvarese as match official during a Coppa Italia match. They are still very familiar with the man from Teramo and have never lost a Serie A match when he carries the whistle.
Valeri will be in charge on Thursday, when San Siro will host its third match in only five days and the 41-year-old will oversee his second Coppa Italia match this term.
The experienced referee has overseen 31 matches involving Juventus so far and 28 of Milan, but it will only be the Roma resident’s second Derby d’Italia.
