Serie B new boys Reggina have announced the signing of former Palermo striker and Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty.
As per Reggina’s official website, Lafferty has put pen to paper on a two-year contract after passing a medical.
The 32-year-old is vastly experienced, having played for the likes of Burnley, Rangers, Sion, Norwich City and most recently Sunderland.
To Italian audiences, he is best known for his 2013-14 campaign with Palermo, when he scored 12 goals to help them win promotion to Serie A.
However, he lasted just one season in Sicily, with the club’s then-owner Maurizio Zamparini calling him ‘an out-of-control womaniser’ in a parting shot.
Lafferty will form a fascinating front three with former Atalanta striker German Denis and ex-Milan and Roma star Jeremy Menez in Calabria next season.
