There is a Yellow rainfall warning in place for Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly, Galway and all of Munster.
Met Éireann said there will be heavy, possibly thundery rain throughout the day with accumulations of 25mm to 40mm in some places.
The warning is valid until midnight tonight.
