Athletic Club Bilbao announced an agreement to sign Torino forward Alex Berenguer, pending today’s medical, for a reported €12m.
The 25-year-old arrived today for his tests and posed with the Athletic Club jersey.
“Athletic Bilbao and Torino FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Alex Berenguer, who will sign until the end of the 2023-24 season if he passes the medical in Bilbao today,” read a statement.
“Berenguer played 72 Serie A games over the last two seasons, with eight goals and seven assists.”
Toro signed him from Osasuna in 2017 for €5.5m, but there was a clause giving his old club an extra €1.5m for a future sale to Bilbao.
