Milan director Paolo Maldini did not deny negotiations have resumed with Tottenham Hotspur for right-back Serge Aurier, who has a €15m price-tag.
He was asked about the interest in a pre-match interview with Sky Sport Italia ahead of last night’s 3-0 win over Cagliari.
“We spoke to his agent last year, to be honest, now we’ll see how the next few weeks go,” smiled Maldini.
The 27-year-old Ivorian is primarily a right-back, but can also play on the left when needed.
Spurs signed him from Paris Saint-Germain for €25m in the summer of 2017 and his contract runs to June 2022.
This season, Aurier made 42 competitive appearances for Tottenham, contributing two goals and eight assists.
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the cost of the operation to bring Aurier to Milan would be around €15m.
